Last Night

I had a vivid dream of a glowing orange-red sunset. The sky was a dark pale color and buildings silhouetted behind the landscape. I stopped atop a hill with a few of my closest souls. I say souls because I do not remember seeing bodies. I do not remember feeling as if I were a body. The burden of the physical was not threatening to flatten me against the concrete. I was afloat, bound not by gravity but by love. We stared in reverence at this colossal ball of light. At that moment, we were one unit. We all felt the same emotions and were aware of each others’.  It was intense but the intensity  was not like staring at the sky directly into the sun, the intensity did not force me to look away as I normally would – pained by the harsh glare. In fact, we gained clarity, peace of mind, and something else I could not pinpoint while we were entranced.

Dream Moods on Sunset Dreams

To see the sunset in your dream indicates the end of a cycle or condition. It is a period of rest, contemplation and evaluation.

Dream Moods on Sun Dreams

To see the sun in your dream symbolizes peace of mind, enlightenment, tranquility, fortune, goodwill, and insight. It also represents radiant energy and divine power. Generally, the sun is a good omen, especially if the sun is shining in your dream.

While this does match up with what I have been going through, I also believe that my dream is symbolic of how much I desire to see sunsets and sunrises. I was writing about it last night so the want was dormant in my mind until I went to sleep last night. The fact that my conscious mind picked up on it and gifted me a dream of a sunset so vast and beautiful convinces me that a much higher deity had partaken in bestowing upon me such an amazing view. For that, I am forever grateful.
